Science and innovation
Objective: To conduct advanced scientific research and development to enhance the gas industry's efficiency, safety, and sustainability; implement innovative technologies and methods; and ensure the sector’s sustainable development in light of environmental and energy challenges
Key objectives:
- Integration of innovative technologies into production processes
- Solving industry-specific challenges through new approaches
- Implementation of scientific projects supported by government grants
- Preparation and publication of scientific articles, and promotion of research activities among employees of the group of companies
Key projects:
1. Implementation of the coal chemistry project:
- Development of a preliminary feasibility study
- Engagement of potential investors
- Meetings with subsoil users and site visits to fields
- Presentation of the project to QazaqGaz’s Investment Committee
2. Implementation of science and technology activities:
- Obtaining scientific accreditation to establish the status of the Science and Technology Centre (STC) as a recognised research institute, enabling independent participation in grant funding competitions
- Participation in TFP (Target Financing Program)/grant funding competitions to secure additional financing for scientific work and address QazaqGaz’s pressing technological challenges
- Exploration of the UHR (Unconventional Hydrocarbon Resources) field, which is gaining increasing relevance and importance
