During a working meeting between the QazaqGaz Science and Technology Center and representatives of the exploration and production division of “QazaqGaz Exploration and Production” LLP, discussions were held on mechanisms for financing research and development (R&D) as well as current technological challenges.

The parties reached a mutual understanding on the need for a systematic approach to formulating applied tasks and emphasised the importance of involving production units at the early stages of R&D planning.

One of the key outcomes was the agreement on the participation of LLP “QazaqGaz Exploration and Production” in the preparation of an industry hackathon, initiated by the QazaqGaz Scientific and Technical Center in cooperation with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The hackathon is aimed at finding innovative solutions, including IT developments, in response to real production challenges.

Shortly, a working session with industry specialists is planned to collect and preliminarily discuss technological tasks that may be presented at the hackathon.
