QazaqGaz Scientific and Technical Center took an active part in the oil and gas exhibition and conference KIOGE 2024
Sheraly Meiir, General Director of QazaqGaz STC LLP, was a key speaker in the panel discussion at the international exhibition KIOGE “Decarbonization and demethanization; technological advances in the oil and gas industry” on the problems of methane development. Kazakhstan is one of the top ten countries in terms of coal reserves and has a very large potential for methane production on a commercial scale. In order to stimulate the development of coalbed methane (CBM) production in Kazakhstan, it is necessary to study and select optimal development methods on the example of leading countries of CBM producers.

Within the framework of the KIOGE conference, QazaqGaz STC LLP employees - Deputy General Director for Science and Training Zhandos Sharipov and Director of the Department of Geology and Field Development Ainura Zhanserkeyeva - presented their technical reports. The speakers shared their results and experience in two areas:

Geological risk mitigation and geological data management are key factors in upstream.

The presentations aroused great interest of the audience and demonstrated the company's innovative approach to increase the potential of active gas storage and build up the hydrocarbon resource base.
