As part of its collaboration with educational institutions, the Science and Technology Centre (STC) of NC “QazaqGaz” is implementing a dual education program for 3rd- and 4th-year students. This program includes practical training at the production facilities of NC QazaqGaz’s subsidiaries and affiliated companies. The aim is to provide students with in-depth knowledge of production processes and working conditions at field sites, offering them valuable hands-on experience in real-world settings.
Within the project, students are provided with all necessary conditions for comfortable training. Each student is assigned a mentor during the internship, helping them to better understand the specifics of the work and to effectively adapt to the real industrial environment. Students are introduced to the shift-based (rotational) work method, living conditions in shift dormitories and canteens, and the organisation of workflows during shift changes.
The company’s Science and Technology Centre actively oversees the student selection process from the submitted applications and facilitates the signing of tripartite agreements between the educational institution, the student, and the subsidiary company. This represents a key step in developing highly qualified professionals ready to work in the specific conditions of the gas industry.
For the 2023–2024 academic year, six students from the Shakhtinsk Technological College completed dual training at Karaganda Production Department of “Intergas Central Asia” JSC, and three students from the Kazakhstan-British Technical University underwent internships at “QazaqGaz Exploration & Production” LLP. During their training, the students gained not only theoretical knowledge but also practical experience working in real production environments.
